Fenner Green Learning Community
Fenner Green is a Learning Community concerned with promoting knowledge and
taking action on environmental issues, particularly as they apply to Fenner Hall
and its residents. Fenner Green's activities are often in coordination with ANU
Green and the Sustainability Learning Community.

Who Can Join
|
All Fenner Hall Residents. Alumni and other ANU staff and students are
encouraged to contact the Dean if they would like to participate in this
Learning Community.

Objectives of Fenner Green for 2009
Establish a Fenner Green Committee to decide on and implement a
sustainability strategy for Fenner Hall, involving as many residents as
possible.
Reduce the average monthly water and electricity usage of Fenner Hall by 10%
by the end of the year.
Educate residents on the importance of saving water and electricity for the
community, and on simple ways to do so in their daily lives within Hall.
Improve the recycling system, reducing the amount of recyclable material that
is transported to landfill.
Provide means for residents to become actively involved in environmental
initiaves within Fenner Hall and via ANU green.
Win the Interhall Green shield – a two month competition whereby colleges and
hall’s compete in reducing their own water and electricity usage by the largest
margin.
